*walk into the cave, praise Nagris for letting my 1st day as a hunter go well, and pray for Nicar, and her decision for her position. I then walk back out to the cool night, and go hunting.* Uhhh, I don't even know where the prey is! *voice in head, " Follow your instincts, and sence of smell." * Alright. Here we go. THE FOREST
Well, my nose told me to come here, but I don't see nothin. *rustle , rustle.* Wha???? *A small,male Nau hopps out of the bushes. I take the hunter's crouch position. rrr It tries to run, put i start to flap my wings, and take off. It doesn't get far, I fall on top of it, and crush it. It was actually very muscular, but I was bigger. I dragged it back to the Great Cavern, and set it on the prey pile. I flew around, enjoying a beautiful night, when I see Nicar, sitting ontop off a hill, staring at a Nau herd in the distance.* Nicar! What are you doing? ~~Legacy
*Flicks tail at Legacy, telling her to be silent. Legacy nodds and looks at the herd. Looks about for possible attack routes* Hmm... aha! Watch, Legacy! This is how a real hunter does it! *waits for a moment. then locates a calf at the back of the herd. waits. the cub wanders off. silently, Nicar flies above the calf, unnoticed. the cub stops running. Nicar lunges for the neck, and gives the killing blow.* There. ~~Nicar
You aren't even a hunter, Nicar. You can't kill prey. You are a cub. You would be a great hunter, though. *Nicar smiles.* You would! I'll ask Patriot if he'll talk to the Chieftan about it. If you want. *Nicar nodds yes.* Great! Now, let's enjoy this wonderful midnight snack you killed. *We eat in silence, and go our seperate ways to our caves.* ~~Legacy
*I fall off the ceiling of the cave, and brush myself off. This is usually how I wake up.* Time to get breakfast. 8commus walks in.* Commus! *i bow. commus smiles,"Legacy. Good Morning. The trees whistle to me a great victory is coming your way." I smile weakly* the only victory I need, is for Nicar to become a hunter. That is all I want. *"you are a great friend to Nicar. Especially when Neega is so unnecisarily rude to her. I thank you ."* Why are you here, Commus? I know this is not a social visit. *" I need to ask you something. Do you know what Nicar is afraid of?" I look puzzled. "Just curious." * Oh, well, I think she is afraid of.... I dunno. I'll ash her. *"Alright. Thank you, Legacy. May Negris be with you always. Commus left.* Strange. Commus never asks thing like that. I wonder what she's up to. ~~Legacy
